Description

Gold football charm with a capital P in red for Penn Quakers (University of Pennsylvania). Inscribed with "Bert Bell, Quarterback". It is possible this charm was given to the players in honor of their win against rival Cornell in their last game of the season on November 30, 1916. The Quakers compiled a 7–3–1 record, lost to Oregon in the 1917 Rose Bowl, and outscored opponents by a total of 120 to 57.
